I wasn't referring to my website, I was making fun of the OP and his claims, btw.

And then after his 3 weeks with Melton....he seemed to make it one whole day at USA Truck before he hated them:
I just don't think this guy has what it takes----perhaps why he disappeared.

Thanks, did it myself with yahoo - easy as it gets.

Referencing the above post, I still can't get why people hang their paychecks on their COMDATA cards.. not only do you pay fees every time you touch our money, you have to deal with checks, and truckstops, and all of that.

Get a bank account, do direct deposit, keep track of it online or internet phone, and you can take up to $100 with ANY Walmart debit purchase with no fees.

Not only that, Ronin, but you have instant access to your money. When you need it.
Without having to take an advance against the next check.

Exactly - I was really in shock in an orientation a few years ago when a company still offered this option. I've had some form of direct deposit.. we called it "Sure Pay" in the Air Force... since 1984, and hate the idea of dealing with cashing, or even depositing a paper check on someone else's bank... or worse, having my money on a car where my DM, safety, or fuel people cut shut it down...

I've gotten bonuses and things on a COMDATA card, and immediately converted them to a check and got the money.

Sorry for the hijack for a public service announcement, but sheesh, this is an old thread anyway.

I don't understand why the OP would harass payroll for his money and when it was put on it delayed pulling it off? I would have burned a path to the nearest truck stop or my bank to cash my pay check before BFI can turn the card off!

NOTE: Take your money off of any card that the company controls as soon as it is posted!

Any card controlled by a what you have figured to be a BFI can be turned off or the money can be removed.

One of the first questions you ask the recruiter when you are interviewing THEM to see if THEY are good enough for you to be seen in their trucks is direct deposit to your own checking account!

This is NOT an option but a requirement of yours. Screw any company that says they pay on THEIR fuel card!

Besides as Ronin said, with your own debit card you can go to any store and buy a few dollars of something you need and then pull your pay off at no charge!

Unless you have a bank account with one of the major nationwide banks like US Bank or Bank America where they have ATMs all over the world. Those check cashing charges that Com Data and the others charge to get your pay off of is a stupid expense and it's not tax deductible.

My point was people were still opting for pay on their fuel card when the company offered direct deposit - these idjuts didn't have a bank account.

This thread has gotten more action in the past 2 days than in the last 12months.

Right, happens like that sometimes, gets jacked, and people end up getting better info from the hijack than the OP intended to begin with.
