I find that I am more patient now while driving. I've learned to slow down and not drive like my pants are on fire anymore.... I know now that my future employment depends on safe driving now and there is no room for me to get traffic violations.
I also give the truckers the leeway they need out there..letting them into traffic and such...
I've started driving like I'm in a truck already. We just returned from a trip from Socal to Vancouver, BC and back and got to watch a lot of trucks and how they operate.
I am always noticing trucks now, what kind they are, and what company they belong to.
Hey Wannabes! Do you do this?

What has been most noticable since learning to back up a tractor trailer is I never look out the back window while backing up (my non commercial personal vehicle) like I see most people doing. I only use my side mirrors.

I've noticed the worst "professional" drivers in my area are the fuel haulers. 55 in a 45, 45 in a 35, no turn signals when changing lanes. And no stopping at the railroad tracks. Especially around the tank farms in West Nashville.
Almost got run over by a US Express driver at the Pilot as I was cruising through to write down names of potential trucking companies to apply for. She looked cute, also pretty sure I saw her and her husband's pic or video on the US Express website.JustSonny Thanks this. -
....and try to get the rest of your family drivers to pay the same amount of attention.. the kids and the wife's driving habits terrify me . lol
