There are plenty of things we would like to see improved at Swift right? Well one of the things that really gets to me is when I am pressed for time and I have to open those doors to a trailer you just dropped right in front of me.
You are lucky your lazy #$%$# got out of the terminal before I could get my hands on you! I would have dragged you by the ear back to the trailer and handed you a broom and lots of trash bags.
If you refused to clean it then I would have put you in the trailer and put my enforcer lock on until you decided that it just makes more sense to be respectful towards other drivers.
Never have a once left a dirty trailer for the next driver!! Nor will I! Those metal shavings that you left all over the floor cut right through my new gloves and into my hands. It took me awhile to clean it and four trash bags filled up!
I only had four hours left on my 14 and had planned to be in Lancaster from Houston to get my B service started first thing this morning. But since you left me a huge mess I got within and hour and had to shut it down fool!
I tried to report you as you definitely deserved it! But was told another mans trash is another mans treasure!! It was way over 120 degrees in that trailer and I just took a shower.
When I see you again you will definitely hear it from me because you ended up costing me time and
$5 for new gloves
$$$7 for cream for cuts
$11 for another shower!!
$$$$ No telling how much in lost miles due to getting here late for a B service when if I would have been here last night. I would have been the first in line or close....
For those of you who are coming on with Swift please think about the next driver they don't always have the time to clean your mess up and sooner or later you are going to run into the person that is picking it up then I feel sorry for you if they know you just dropped it!
If it is way too much crap in the trailer then let your DM know so they can let the other driver know or have you take it somewhere to get cleaned.
I am really getting tired of these empty trailers just filled with crap and I get stuck cleaning them when it your $#%$##.... A little sweeping here and there is not a big deal but open the doors and crap falls out of the trailer is just wrong!!
Now I feel better!!!! Wish I could have kept all the bags filled with metal shavings! I would have dumped them right in your lap the next time I see you!
Now don't take this as a threat but instead on how mad I was cleaning your mess up!! Just an example and I am sure other drivers feel the same way when they have to clean your mess.
Hey You! Swifty! Clean your #$%#$ trailer out!

Sweeping out a trailer takes 10-15 minutes. Some Swifties simply aren't gonna do it. Bottom line: If you want the shipper you're gonna live load with to load a clean trailer, you're probably gonna have to sweep it out yourself. It's not about the pigs that dropped a dirty empty, it's about the shipper that pays you!

Get yourself a Ryobi cordless leaf blower...
...then back up in front of the terminal office and blow that #### out on the sidewalk.trucker_101, fairshake, Johnontheroad and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hmm blow all those metal shaving all over the terminal.... I got to come up with a better way of cleaning up the mess.. Some trailers it only takes 15 minutes. Not a problem. I am talking about the ones that take an hour or more.
This one I had to get all the shaving even the ones that glittered on the floor so they would not end up in the tires they would have put on the trailer. I can see it now when they get to where they are going and there is metal shavings in 978 tires??? -

yea they would really love this...

This I'd like to see. -
If they want the #### thing spotless to load tires, maybe they shouldn't accept loads of metal chips... that's my philosophy. -
good idea to cover the floor with plastic when hauling scrap metals---cause you #### well when you mt out--your next load will be a load of paper--i am sure they plan it out that way for some ungodly reason
JustSonny Thanks this. -
