Hell no I wish I was paid something. I tried to not take the trailer but it was the only one left or else I would have had to drive an hour down the road to pick up from another place.
I think they use to pay something a while back but drivers took advantage of it and they stopped.
Hey You! Swifty! Clean your #$%#$ trailer out!

I really can not believe this. Swift is a very good company to work for and has an outstanding employees. I think someone else put their trash in there. Just to make Swift look bad. They only hire the best of the trucking industry.
outerspacehillbilly and Lonesome Thank this. -
I may not be sure but I remember that if the trailer was not cleaned out by the last person they charged that driver $25
-
I can tolerate the occasional dirty trailer. What I can NOT put up with is some numbnutz dropping a trailer with an obvious mechanical problem at one of our yards that has a full shop, but does not tell anyone about it, including the shop!

Surely a swifty would not do such a thing . Must have had his helmet on to tight.

One more reason I like the flatbeds.

Sidenote, any chance this helmet thing can be cracked down on a bit. Gotta hear it enough on the cb, be nice to not have to read it as well on this forum.Last edited: Jun 2, 2011
