I'm a newcomer with 6 months into the work a day world of trucking after 25 years in television broadcast and I'm so pissed at myself for not choosing this line of work after high school that I could have a cow.
Most of the posts I have read are so interesting I have to force myself away from the computer to do some work around the house during my downtime. Glad I have found such a articulate bunch of members to interact with and share stories and whatnot.
Got a real good chance of landing a tanker gig this spring with a Ontario company, should know by this weekend, keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Keep the shiny side up and drive safe.

Welcome to TTR! I found your post to be intersting due the fact that you were in the broadcasting for 25 years.
I wouldn't be so hard on yourself for not getting into the trucking industry. It comes with a lot of headaches but can be rewarding if you can get with the right comapany that is.
I've pulled various trailers, been in different fields of work and have enjoyed pulling a tanker.
I wish you all the best in your new line of work.
