Yup, wind advisories east of Cheyenne are supposed to lift at 1800 -- here's hoping...

the temps have risen to 32+, light winds, and broken clouds, looking at the numerous web cams the state has installed... I see no reason for it be closed. in fact I see traffic moving.

I80 is open, but there is still a wind advisory for all of i80 wyoming. At the nebraska 22 mile marker, winds are howling & jerking around my 65,000lb van despite being parked in a windbreak depression.

Could head out now, but why not wait a couple more hours so I have less chance of being tagged by a set of fedex doubles.

Today was my lucky day. I am in a line slowing to exit where the road was closed a little east of Rock Springs and I look ahead and there are 2 state workers ahead. One is hand cranking the highway gate up and the other looks my way and waves me on. Rolling pole position baby! Unfortunately I was caught 20 seconds later by the truck behind me that hadn't had to slow much yet for the exit. But for 20 seconds I was the leader of the pack. Made it 684 miles today to the mom & pop at exit 290. Just west of Laramie.

What is your truck governed at? 684 miles is some big trucking in 10.5 hrs.

Can do that type of mileage out west. It is a matter of keep that left door closed, and roll.

Parked at the Quik Trip in Platte City, Missouri. 679.9 today with 8 minutes left on my 11 and 11 minutes left on my 70. Got 4005 hub miles out of this 70. Will roll when my reset is complete Saturday morning. 1269 miles to go. Still iffy running the eastern half but being Saturday and Sunday should help.

When I arrive in Florida Sunday, my overall paid miles per day will have risen to 434.78 with Heyl. My average with Crete was 438.78. Looking like it could become the lateral move financially I need it to be. Supposed to induce labor Monday to bring our second granddaughter into this world. Hoping and praying things go smoothly.
