Just keep in mind that you left crete for a reason... can you live with the problems that caused you to leave the first time?

I left Crete the right way fully expecting a high probability of returning. Heyl was an itch I needed to scratch. I learned of Heyl when I joined TTR just prior to starting CDL school. Based on their long hauls to the Northwest and me having property in Southwest Montana they were my target company from the start. Conway, Knight, and Crete were essentially fillers to fill the 2.5 yr in most recent 3 yr internal gap in employment standard that Heyl enforces. Once I finally qualified, I had to give Heyl a try. Turns out that we are not a good fit. Crete, has it's fair share of warts just like everyone else. But they are not opposed to drivers earning 55k-65k. I have negotiated at least 1 trip annually through my property in Montana and a returning wage of 43 cpm. I left without being allowed to run through my property and at 39 cpm. They addressed my serious concerns and chose to modify. So yes, I expect a return to Crete to be a positive move assuming they are still agreeable to those terms. I will find out tomorrow.

And to note, I put no time line on Heyl. I simply advised that when I am routed back to Florida that I will turn in the truck. Then I am gonna take my pops fishing and my wife to the beach. Visit my kids and grand babies.

Almost forgot, miles driven today 30.5.
For me, the mileage the last 3 days represent very well why Reefer is no fit for a runner: 594.2, 471.4, and 30.5. The plug is pulled entirely too often. -
Is this guy serious? He says he's a runner and wants to go back to Create. Now that is funny. Dude you wouldn't last 3 months at an old school reefer outfit.
paul_4lp and truckinmike1984 Thank this. -
good luck moving back to crete... you scratched the itch, that is good.
just remember, this was your experience before....
517, 432, 372, 240, 549, 341, 418, 577, 542, 542, 518, 581, 418. That was my run of 13 consecutive loads less than 600 miles in November. -
That was indeed a disappointing stretch. The next longest stretch was 5 loads sub-600. The run of 13 was not the norm and I still kept moving/earning during that stretch just had to work harder. All the sitting idle that I have experienced here at Heyl doesn't work for ME.

We do have to sit a whole lot, with all this extra time on loads. Good luck hope things go better for you at crete
xlsdraw Thanks this. -
just playing the devil advocate here...
understand the sitting and waiting to unload gets to you...
Good safe trucking where ever you decide to go. -
Parked at the Pilot in Council Bluffs. Deliver in Omaha @ 09:00 tomorrow. 381.4 today. They sent an inquiry as to would I be OK with Oregon before Florida. I advised I'd go wherever they need as long as they'd agree to have me turn the truck in at the Florida Terminal no later than 07/02/14. They responded yes. I have not received a preplan yet.
I gave Crete a 21 day notice and they ran me 9949 paid miles and got me back to the terminal on day 21.
