Hi everyone.
I'm a newbie-ish to the trucking world.
My boyfriend's been driving for about 10 years. OTR the last 2.
He's spent the last 8 month's driving local, and hates "working for idiots".
He misses the road, and being more of his own boss.
Sooooo I bought a truck.
We pick it up Saturday, and he will start running O/O right after Labor Day, leasing on to a buddy's already established company.
While he knows the ins and outs of trucking, he's never been o/o before.
Of course, maintaing the checking account, personal and business bills, and paper work ect will be my job.
I'm stressing a bit, but know it will all work out somehow.
I joined the forum to read and learn as much as I can.
I never do anything halfway, while I don't know much about trucking, and I can't drive the rig, I do plan on learning as much as I can.
This is too big of an investment not to.
I used to breed Chinchillas and I learned everything about from online forums and made some great friends that way, and Know that personal advice of vetrans is better than anything you can read in a book or online!
I want to say Thanks in Advance to everyone, I'm sure I'll have lots of questions; I appricate there being a forum and people who take the time to help others!
