I'm Mischief, a 26 year-old library assistant from Atlanta, GA. I'm looking to get into trucking in the next two months or so, and in the meantime, I'm doing a lot of reading, a lot of researching, and a lot of planning...I'm being pragmatic, but it's hard to quell the excitement of a career change. I've been lurking here for a little while, and I joined this forum to be able to interact with you guys, most of whom seem pretty doggone cool and knowledgeable about what I might be able to expect out there on the road. I know that working in a library is worlds away from being an OTR trucker, but, honestly, I have itchy feet, and I'm looking for something to support myself while I go to school online.
So...here I am. Hi!![]()

Yeah, this is a huge leap for me. In fact, doing any work that isn't in an office is a leap. As rough as it is out there right now, though, I'm really looking forward to getting into it.
