Hi from Italy

    Hello, my name is Marco and i am an Italian trucker,my dad is italo-american but i was born and have always lived in Rome. I started trucking in the army 12 years ago and never stopped since then.I Did international trucking for a few years but i am doing national since 2007. I work for a company thats works mostly for j&j. We bring the raw material to their factory in Rome, i do 2 or 3 trips a week about 900 miles each round trip.
    Situation here is realy bad, lot's of unemployment because most of the big trucking companys to lower the fares hire eastern europeans driver paying them ridicously low wages.

    Hi and welcome!
    I hear ya about eastern europeans drivers, I'm based in London England much of the year and have seen many driver friends lose work because of them.
    They run illegal and for buttons, who can compete with that?

    But it sounds like you are getting some miles anyway, (kilometres I guess)!, so hang on in there, it will have to get better!
