Hello Lisa-
I leave for orientation on the 15th in MT. New myself. The only experience I have behind the wheel of a big rig is the 6hrs I spent in CDL school. I,m nervous myself being a female in my 30s going solo. This forum has been great about answering all of my questions and claiming my fears. There are plenty of female drivers out there that are willing to give great advice. It seems to me that most of this stuff is common sence. I've met plenty of good, great and horrible drivers thus far and if they can do it, so can we. Just keep safety in mind at all times.

Best bet is to get out there and dont give up. It will be tough at first, but you will get better at it, and soon will drive that truck like's it's easy.
