It's likely the smart mouth on the cb has about six months solo otr. It's right around six months that new driivers realize they know it all and seek to share it with anonimity behind a cb microphone! Drivers otr for a while do tend to "learn some manners" while losing the "super trucker, know it all attitude!" Amongst experienced otr there is one super trucker for every hundred drivers! The more useful experience you have, the more you realize you are always a student. Always learning! Forever!

Beware of any driver who is the hero of every story they tell! They are lying!

Actually there is no such thing as the super trucker. There are only those that think they are.

Every new driver should turn the cb off when backing.

I wish the cb was still the useful tool it once was. Sadly 99% of the chatter there is profane OR useless! New drivers would be better off turning it off till a need arises and concentrate on driving!

Rolled a few years with-out CB, decided to get one specifally for shippers and recievers that still use a CB because they are out of cell phone service areas or simply don't rely on a phone.. otherwise it stays off

First of all you are new how do you even know that you were taught properly?

How do you know the old timer in the truck you are whining about is not just as new as you ?
I can tell you how I know the guy is as new as you ....
It's because he is doing just what you are complaining about!
A real old timer that has been out here for more years than you have been alive doesn't do that stupid crap unless you piss them off .

As for you getting "suckered into" that's all on you they didn't sucker anyone .
The truth is you didn't know any better but you just want to blame anyone but yourself .
Like the old saying goes you are judged by the company you keep.
So if you are with a company that is judged to be full of idiots then don't be surprised when that's what you are assumed to be also.

Back off and let me around ?????
    Really ?????
So what makes you so special ???
The real question is whats wrong with you for being taught right as you claim you sure don't know much about passing from what you are showing me here in this post !

Talk about didn't your mamma raise you better . I won't comment on this one because I am sure your momma tried and even she would be embarrassed for this posting .
Manners goes both ways and so far I am not seeing much on your side to be proud of .

But hey I am an old timer and I probably was not taught right and my momma didn't raise as well as she should have.
I am trying to learn though and your post sure has taught me allot .
I don't know where I would be without your help pointing out that I have done it wrong for the last 33 years.

OH YA if you made it this far trough all of my ramblings the best I can tell from your post is that you were taught to be just another cruise control clown that wines when everyone doesn't let him by because he is a half a mile an hour faster.

I hope you last long enough to really be taught right .
Good luck and don't sweat the small stuff or it drive you nuts !

Well, let's start off with number one, shall we??

    1. That could be any driver, new or old. That driver who does that is a douche, and his doucheyness transcends all experience levels.

    2. Don't worry about what company you're with, chances are they are going to leave their current company for another one in another 2 weeks anyway

    3. See above for douchebaggery. Most of us will get off of the fuel to let you come over. Safety first.

    4. Once again, douchebag move, unless they are governed a few mph faster than you

    5. Turn the cb off. Don't worry about them. You're creating your own stress by listening to them. Most of us don't even have it on much anymore.

Are you stalking him after making a post you don't agree with, or maybe hits too close to home? That's just weird.

I really don't care if your truck is governed or not. If I am running at the speed limit you can bite my left rear trailer tire.... That way I can watch it in the mirror. As for racing up the hill for the next 15 minutes, once again if you can not pass me then slow down, it's on you if I am running the speed limit. Just because you can not move your truck does not make it necessary to accommodate you. It's common sense that the faster vehicles be in front and if you can not pass then you should be in back. I have been known to slow down on the freeway to let people on but I am NOT going to wait long. If you can not recognize the space opening for you then I am going by you. Getting into the left lane is not ALWAYS the proper thing to do. Especially with the slower posted speeds for trucks in many places. This only causes issues with the 4 wheelers behind you.

In other words, I am not going to cause an issue behind me so that someone can get on a freeway, they seem to forget that THEY have the yield sign.

I hope you don't mind, but after reading this I think this is what you were really saying.....

By the way I'm not in a governed truck, so please use your mirrors, before you pull into the left lane, there is no reason to get into my way because you can't run the speed limit. And by the way you are not suppose to move to the left for traffic entering the freeway.

Yes I'm old and grumpy because we have put up with the new attitude of I know everything for more miles than most can even count.
So enjoy the drive and stay safe.
