that is great ,so they wanted to give it 3 years after the date the ticket was issued for you to get hired ..i would say just make sure you get that in written if u can before going to the orientation ...this way you know it is garanteed ...best of luck

as for my case ..i wrote the judge a letter again ..lets see what happens

I am sorry you experience that ...but i think you may report them i guess this way you do yourself and the society a favor...i believe a second chance should be given ..that is why there are penalties and laws governing ...but i am not pro-complainers :)
    thank you.

A lot of companies look at that ticket as if it were a DUI. Three years is the usual cutoff for tickets but you may have to go 5 years. Only way to find out for sure is to call multiple companies and speak to their recruiters about it BEFORE you even consider signing up for school! A lot of schools will tell you it won't be a problem just to get your money then once you graduate you're screwed! Make sure to get several opinions before hand.

    Good luck...

You can't really go by what a company pays per mile. That is mostly a ploy. A company that boasts higher pay you need to really be weary of. In fact, stay away from them! All freight pays the same and there really is no big difference in how its hauled, it really just depends on their customer basis and relationship with the big brokers. With that being said, a company can boast that they pay $.90 a mile but if you are running 500 miles a week you aren't getting paid diddly squat! Another company may pay $.32 a mile and run their drivers 4200 miles a week! This is where you are going to make money! This is why I can't recommend smaller companies enough! If you are looking to make serious money then do your best to try and find a good smaller company.

I just noticed you are from Orlando. There is a company called Armellini in which you can make some serious $$$$. Its probably one of the highest paid gigs out there. Reason being is that you get paid per mile (hub) and per stop. The often have 30-50 stops so you can see how it really adds up. Typically you should easily bring home between $1000 - $1400 a week! Another huge advantage in driving for them is that they are only out for 5-7 days at a time. So home time is sweet! Its tough getting home in the trucking world and this really makes things nice for the Florida driver. Reason being is that they are a floral company. They haul flowers and cut greens out of Miami and Pierson Florida to flower shops all across the country. You have your own key to the shops so you never have to wait to be unloaded. Its all up to your personal performance. Once you are empty you grab your prearranged back haul and come back home. Take a little time at home and then do it all over again. They run team only! This makes your pay even that much more better! Some drivers don't like running team but personally I enjoy it. You cover a lot more ground, make more money and the responsibility is shared. Also makes finding a place a lot easier when you have to people in the truck. When I first started driving I drove for a company exactly like Armellini (in fact they were a couple blocks from them) and I did very, very well! Actually I am currently driving for a company that does the same exact thing except we haul seafood. Normally I would recommend my company but you need 3 years experience before they will consider hiring you.

Another really good company in our area that I would reserve as a second choice would be Windy Hill. You can also make some really good money with them! Windy Hill does not run team though and they stay out the normal 6-8 weeks if not longer. My cousin drove for them and loved it! He was constantly running between 3800 - 4200 miles a week! He did very, very well with Windy Hill!

I also have a bunch more options if you would like.

Feel free to "pm" me if you have any questions or need anything. I'll be more than glad to help you out.

    Good luck man...
