Well as it gets warmer so is my water temps. It was mostly during the day and cool off at night, but not anymore. It's hanging out around 190°-200° I had a shop drain my coolant and then they ran a cleaner called RESTORE. Ran the truck for over half hour and drained. Refilled, ran and drained. I filled with new coolant and running down the road to pick up my load its the same. I also changed the temp sensor for the gauge. The radiator is 3 years old and 4 rows. It's in a 379 with a 3406E 550hp. What next should I do??

I also had the fan kicking on/off until I covered the section of the ecm that goes by the thermostats. That fixed that problem. Also the fan was kicking in at 200° When the fan was on the temp wasn't really dropping either?

What's wrong with 190-200' ?? My Acert runs much warmer than that. Fan does not even come on automatically until 225' I often turn on switch at 210-215 just because I don't like it hot. But factory says high is normal.

190-200 is exactly where it should be. But when's the last time you cleaned the outside of the radiator?

I cleaned the radiator by stopping at a car wash big enough for my truck. Ran the truck with the fan on and spayed with water for about ten minutes.. don't know if that was enough..done that twice this month.

What I've been noticing. Is even at idle its sitting at 200° or whatever I parked at. Are my thermostats not opening up all the way. During the winter months it was hard keeping up at 190°

I have an '07 Pete 379exhd with a C15. I was used to 175-180 with my maxxforce I had in a prostar at my last company. I too was concerned I was running to high. Turns out its normal. Mine sits at 190-200 all the time, Fan kicks on at 210. At night when I idle if its 75 or above outside mine idles at 190*F @800 RPM.

Any cooler than 75 then it sits around 175-180 at the same idle rpm

That same temp is what I'm used. Last year running running Washington to Texas I don't remember it getting this warm. I'm running the same route. I might just be paranoid. But I'm having them put thermostats in today..
