Mine keeps it very comfortable over 100.
But you have to put sun shades up , mine go from 3/4 of passengers window all the way across the windshield. Then I pull the curtains closed.
This makes at least a 10 degree difference. I really need a third one so can go all the way past drivers door window.
At 90 Mine will have me shivering if I set it to low.
    TK EVOLUTION.

The older Tripacs and Comfort Pros had 10k BTU. Kubota is the same motor the Comfort Pro uses.

I’ll add to my previous post that my TK Evolution was pretty loud when it was new. It was also pop, smoke, and sound horrible on startup. Now that it’s broken in and has hours on it, all that is gone. It’s quiet and smooth now.

$10K???? someone got money to burn...lol

Wow. My poor mans APU cost me $700 (generator $500 / portable ac $200)

It cools just fine, for my 10-break, and I dont need a hotel room even at 100 degrees

It was around $9500. Nice write off for my business. I have a refrigerator, keeps my battery charged. For me it was the right option. I wasnt interested in setting up a window AC every night and running back and forth to fill up a gas can.

I have a regular TK, guess first generation, and you can hang meat in mine when it's 120 out.

I just noticed with the TK evolution that you can run the regular bunk fan switch on high and that helps with more air flow to push the cold air from the TK. It does charge the batteries while running.

SMDH... write off's are not savings. IMHO, just because you can write it off, does not mean its a worthwhile expense.

Also, with proper plumbing (vent pipe) the portable A/C does not need to be window mounted. Actually, its not meant to be window mounted. This is the floor model. It fits into the cabinet area. Mine is vented out thru the pop-out windows, in the sleeper area. It charges my batteries too, and keeps block heater on in winter (no idling) and warms the sleeper via space heater.

My generator burns 1 gallon, every 10hrs. and it takes no more than a 2 min run to the fuel isle as I pee @ pilot.

I replenish my gas can & generator same time I fuel the truck / take a pee / buy coffee / stretch my legs

It's not too much work (to me anyways). I guess I value my dollars differently.

You’re gonna want a sleeper curtain and sunshades out front at the minimum.

The TK I had would struggle to keep the temperatures cool above 85 outside temperature. That’s with the curtain closed yet no sunshade. It was a 660 too, pretty small sleeper in the grand scheme of things.

I'm glad it works for you, at the end of the day that's all that matters.

My APU is working for MY business and that's what works for ME.
