It was the first blizzard warning for the Southern California mountains since 1989.
Halloran Summit and Mountain Pass are both over 4,000 feet. I would expect it out there. I'd like to see it sometime with the snow on all the Joshua Trees.

Friend & I used to go on climbing trips to Joshua Tree in February, and there'd be snow & ice up there at times, but that was between 4000' and 5000' elevation, at the "high end" of the park. Highest point pushes 6000', but we'd usually hang out in Hidden Valley and use it as a base for high desert recons & climbing missions. Ryan Mountain had a great panoramic view of that whole end of the park. Daytime temps in February are good for climbing, but nights are freezing, lol.
As for Tehachapi, I've seen snow up there in winter, but I don't recollect it ever being that deep... -

Thank you for that. I saw it said CA 58 was closed and Google maps is showing it closed at several places between Mojave and Tehachapi. So can anyone confirm that it is open to Bakersfield
