Highway 'pirates' steal electronics from rolling rigs

Guess they watched old episodes of BJ and the Bear !

 

I've had new furniture stolen from my truck in South Bronx. I had just unloaded at a stop, and was heading to the next. At about the third or fourth stoplight, someone banged on the door and said my trailer door was open and could swing out and hit a car.

After the person convinced me that this was not a con to get me out of the truck, I found the door open and a sofa, loveseat, and ottoman gone, and a chair sild almost to the door. This was around 3:00 PM with crowded streets, and I didn't see a thing. I ran up there a lot back then and I kept an eye out for this stuff, but they still got me.
