Are you kidding me? VSA does a terrible job of keeping up with the maintence. They stand for very seldom around. I've spun out once pulling a btrain improperly loaded to the back with tire chains on. That day guys had two sets and were still spinning out. While I sat waiting for my tow up I saw one plow in the middle of a snow storm...

Ha, ha! I am going to use that.
I suppose I should have qualified my love for VSA by saying they do a pretty good job for a BC highway contractor. We must keep our standards low when assessing contractor performance!
Hopefully truck drivers do not take revenge on VSA employees like they did last year:

Here you go lolStreetroddreams, Oxbow, stacks and 4 others Thank this. -
Gilowski. That's a name I haven't heard in years. I knew they owned OAL in Vernon but didn't realize they owned or were associated with VSA.

They need to rename the show from Highway Thru Hell to Idiot Truck Drivers That should Have Their License Revoked. I drove the Coq for 2 winters in a loaded super-b (63,500kg) 5 days a week. Never had a problem. Drove accordingly to road conditions.

Just watched it. Not sure it's what I'd recommend watching with your loved one if you're thinking about driving truck. The chip truck driver was pulled out alive but died in hospital from his injuries.
My wife doesn't like that for some reason.
Truck driver trapped inside wreckage for 2 days dies: familyjimbo47 Thanks this. -
This one was hard to watch. You know that all these shows are hyped, but there was raw emotion on this episode. A mechanic ripping out a tranny on the side of a ravine to get the driver unpinned? Two days trapped? You could see it in every persons face involved with it they gave 200 percent for this guy. Just raw emotion.Runawayscreaming and tinytim Thank this.

Absolutely. I don't know how a truck driver could watch that episode without a tear in their eye.

Canada is a small town... Eh?
I watch the show time to time, but think it's a little bit over dramatized for those who do not know what 50 ton is. Or 90 for that matter.
One of these days someone will get the bright idea to cover over that mountain road proper. Poof, no snow or anything on the pavement.
