So been sitting on my arse since noon waiting for my turn in the truck. I'm finally confident in my Pre-Trip. I'm comfortable with my backing. But I need some reps on the road course. I'll update tonight after class.

I think my state makes you show up with 1/2 the gross weight of the vehicle class your testing for ....

But since I went with a Conestoga wagon I have no real 1st hand knowledge......:)

    JolliRoger and 650cat425 Thank this.

My first time was with the trainer for CR England. LOL he didnt bother to mention he sucked at math. He told me that I needed to move the trailer 3 holes. I did that and rescaled. Ok you are off 750# to the rear. ( I should have slid it two holes and made the 250 to the drives). Nope he wants me to go 1 hole at a time and reweigh.

Hopefully what ever trainer you get understands the seesaw of the trailer is 500# per hole. If your too heavy on the drives, slide the tandems forward. If your over the 80,000, take it back to the shipper and have tthem remove a pallet. 12k on steers, 34k on drives, 34k on tandems. It is better to make it 34k on your drives than to make it 33k on the drives and 34k on the tandems. If you do it like the latter the trailer will be more prone to jack knifing.

650cat425 and Wasted Thyme Thank this.
