If you can’t make 60cpm 6 months from now with a clean record your doing it wrong.
I was making 45cpm with zero experience when I started 3 years ago.
Pay attention. Don’t screw up. Be on time. Keep dispatch in contact and informed.
Get 6 months in and if your company not what you like start looking.
Do not do a Lease.
Work for somebody at 60cpm and drive 3000 a week.
That adds up in a hurry with no bills. And that truck doesn’t cost you a dime if it isn’t moving.Eldiablo Thanks this. -
I went to a public technical college for my CDL training. It cost me 2 grand. When I signed with Stevens, they actually REIMBURSED me $25 a week while I was there until my school was paid off. What prospective drivers need to understand is that they need YOU. You don't need THEM. The bargaining advantage is on the driver's side if they know how to use it.Last edited: Dec 8, 2020
