It listed the 1.04 per mile as empty mile pay. It doesn't say what loaded mile pay is. That's how i understood it anyways.

The company thinks you're an idiot. Don't prove them right.

Yeah I've always wanted to just save the money up and buy a truck. But I do kind of wonder pilot lease purchase would work with me and my wife running team. Like what I issue her a 1099 or would the carrier and I wonder how successful we could be running team miles in a lease purchase arrangement.

If you can’t make 60cpm 6 months from now with a clean record your doing it wrong.

I was making 45cpm with zero experience when I started 3 years ago.

Pay attention. Don’t screw up. Be on time. Keep dispatch in contact and informed.

Get 6 months in and if your company not what you like start looking.

    Do not do a Lease.

Work for somebody at 60cpm and drive 3000 a week.

That adds up in a hurry with no bills. And that truck doesn’t cost you a dime if it isn’t moving.

He got fleeced. That is the problem with going to company-sponsored schools. I don't know why they are charging him. Before, it would be FREE if the student did a year of service (at slave wages). And if he skips out early, they WILL come after him with a collection agency. I knew someone that left Stevens early because he got tired of the BS. They came after him for SEVEN GRAND.

I went to a public technical college for my CDL training. It cost me 2 grand. When I signed with Stevens, they actually REIMBURSED me $25 a week while I was there until my school was paid off. What prospective drivers need to understand is that they need YOU. You don't need THEM. The bargaining advantage is on the driver's side if they know how to use it.
