Let me know when you’re ready to get back behind the wheel, if you don’t go back to Stevens.

    On this front....

From what you've shared elsewhere you seem like you took your driving seriously. When you get back to the point of being able to get behind the wheel, put in some effort to find a carrier who doesn't care about the same things the mega companies do. You may find one who will take your previous experience into consideration and are willing to take the "insurance risk" without putting you through too much nonsense.

Every bit of this. I know 1st hand that, if this is a course you're interested in, Magnum LTD will be more than willing to work with you. I went thru orientation with them in 2017 with a guy who came down with colon cancer about 2 years ago. They have been nothing short of exemplary working with him and his doctor scheduling and his reduced availability.

I know it's early and heck not even sure things will work out to allow me back out there.

But assuming they do. Trying to figure out where I should end up driving. I've had my CDL since November. But only driving solo since January. So roughly 6 months.

Stevens has been good to me. But they are a starter company and pay, while decent, is low.

Who's going to take someone who's green and been out of the game for over a year?

I work for J Rayl, and they hired me totally green. Good folks, I’m still with them after 2 1/2 years and I’m not looking to change. Not top dollar, but not bottom dollar either (I’ll make $70k this year), home every weekend, decent equipment. Terminals in Akron and Columbus, Ohio; North Liberty, Indiana (near South Bend); Danville, Virginia; and Sunnyvale (Dallas) and Houston, Texas.

JoeyJunk, Lonesome and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

Your going to be fine boss. Those of us that have followed you realize your work ethic. We’ll find you another job when you are ready. If you lived in the DFW area I could get you on to my company even with your lack of experience. Keep your chin up bro and fight this bs!
