T-Mobile has unlimited 3G data overseas, and you can make calls via wifi for free with your T-Mobile number.

 

Heck, I have never really had issues about working for a set time and then taking off for Thailand.
First few years I drove a company truck. They had no problem with it due to the fact I wasn't one of those I need to be home every 2 weeks type of driver. I worked 6 months and took off a month.
Then I bought my own trk. Same deal now but I work 9 months and take off 2 to 3 months normally.
So just jumping out of the trk. was really a big no no with a ld. on.
There is a flight going out everyday from most major airports.
I have had to rebook several times due to load issues.
Call them, I can call the U.S. from Thailand. Costs is not that much
I just have to remember the time difference

 

Expat is former citizen who now lives over seas but keeps their citizenship. Many top office people do it.

I might have agreed 8 years ago, but at current? It's up in the air, we have never lost a triple A rating until about 5 years ago (If memory serves)
