Good companies anywhere don't want their employees living in a truck for any extended period of time. And sure as Hell not in a day cab. Who wants a job where they can't afford to live like a human? I worked in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan. Stayed in converted containers, hard buildings and tents housing from 8 to 150 men. All were better than the 10th world trash that is staying in their vehicles near oil patch. No plumbing. Piss jugs thrown everywhere. Garbage everywhere because this scum is too lazy to walk 100 ft and throw it in container. Lots of wet backs and other losers from around the country. These are the companies that hire anyone with a pulse and a CDL. Convicts. Druggies. CR Englands of the oil patch. You want to live like that come on. You won't have any trouble finding them. Just follow the smell. LOL !!!

    SHC and Trucu Thank this.

Haystack got on via myself. I work for NBR.

He shot me his resume, we did all the prescreening etc over the phone, then brought him here from Florida, made him an offer and he went to work about 8 days later. (background check etc.)

The information in my signature, (Lindasue), she's a national recruiter for us. give her a call/text. She will give you all the answers you need and then some.

BTW, good to see another Jersey boy on here. (I was born and raised, and miss home!) :biggrin_25514:

    Big ducker,
How much do the convicts et al get paid at their sleep in truck jobs? Is it like half the amount that reputable companies pay?

No idea. We have quite a few ex cons working hauling sand. A couple with our company and a lot that are with others who are servicing same well site. Don't know what they did or how serious. I would imagine a lot of them were dopers by the way they get to reminiscing some times. None seem dangerous to me and they are not using or are good at passing random tests. There are places that will take people who have made mistakes. I think it matters more about how serious and how long ago. Axe murder not likely to get hired in front of minor pusher. Never been in prison. And no jail since about 78'. Back then going out and fighting and raising Hell was not a big deal. Had cops drive me home several times. One messed up the front end of my car racing his pardner who was driving me. Hit a curb at about 75, LOL Not anymore.

Depends on the area, but in STX, relocation $ is available typically. It's 2500, paid after your 3rd full calendar month of employment, provided you have relocated into the immediate area, or have a signed lease/housing contract in hand.

Temp housing is offered for up to 90 days, subject to availability, only so many beds in the man camps! We are expanding them pretty regularly though (2x this year).

Pay- Vac truck - around $17 to start (w/ 1.5 yrs exp. in a CMV)
Condensate - about $4-6 more per hour to start (last time I checked, would have to reverify).

Don't just put in the app, we have over 55k applicants in that database, call lindasue (in my signature). She's out sick today, but leave her a voicemail and she will get back with you.
