Hiring a felon

    akfisher, just because there are more people in prison in America, doesn't mean that our country is any safer than other countries. I'm sure it's safer than some and not as safe as others.

    We also pay more for healthcare in America than any other country. I guess that means we have the best healthcare too right?

    Prison in this country is a business. I've known plenty of people who didn't do much but the system just hammered them for years of their life.

    That's right. Everyone in prison or was in prison was railroaded. Always someone else's fault

    so people who pissed in public and were charged with a sex crime, that's good right? Let's lockem up and throw away the key!

    An acquaintance of mine, went into someones house briefly, didn't take anything, didn't break anything, didn't threaten anyone, didn't touch anyone, dude got 5 years. With a good lawyer, do you know what he would of got?
    Probation. He couldn't afford even a decent lawyer.

    5 years in...he wasn't a felon but I'm pretty sure he is now.

    Some criminals never get caught.

    There is no need to be dogmatic, it's not, one way or the other.
