This has been the only question I can't seem to get a straight forward answer from google. I've got a list from AI "Companies like Transforce..." but am curious if anyone has used a service for hiring or if there is some secret method being withheld from us masses.
Thanks.
Hiring Drivers (2-10 Trucks), do you use a service?

Oh.....
These questions here lately.....
I have to ask, do you need 2-10 drivers?exhausted379 Thanks this. -
I want to have 2 to ten trucks, so yes.
I figure if I am going to get my authority and finance a truck plus costs I'd like to hedge my bets. One truck and me driving seems like more of a risk than having 10 trucks with 9 other drivers pulling in revenue. One truck blows up and I've at least got a few others running. -
Gotcha! Sounds like a hell of a plan. You'll do great, I'm sure. Maybe I should hire a few guys and buy some more trucks. Good drivers are like good mechanics, a dime a dozen.
No idea on the 2-10 thoughSiinman, exhausted379, shatteredsquare and 10 others Thank this. -
Okay, thanks. I'm still getting info and numbers before reaching out to banks for financing, and this is the one thing I can't seem to find a solid answer on. Thought I'd try here.
The only other thing is where to put them along with trailers. But I figured I'd hit up a realtor for clues on that. -
Are you going to buy 10 new trucks and new trailers?
-
Used, both, seems like the best bet from what I understand right now. I'm not an accountant and depreciation is mystery science to me, but I want to use them as collateral for the financing.
-
Also I got the idea initially from Prime power only webpage.
Just found the edit button.
So originally the idea was 2-10 trucks, my own authority and run them through Prime power. But having a couple of trailers and running the spot market might be worth it as well.Last edited: Nov 8, 2025 at 8:55 PM

"No, I am going to buy 10 new trucks and 42 new trailers so I can drip and hook like a real tucker." Said the bot account.Siinman Thanks this.

Revenue under 34 mil is still considered "small business", so I'm not going to lie. I did math out 60-100 trucks based on making just under that amount. Pretty sure I'd get laughed out of the bank though.
That was using an SBA NAICS code calculator.
