Hi, I was hoping to get some honest answers before I apply there. I have a great MVR and work history, My questions are mainly about orientation. Is it a 3 or 5 day orientation and is it a standard Urine test or has Hirschbach gone to the Hair Test also? I prefer the Hair test so I know what type of co workers I can expect at these truck stops and how safe they are? Also is the Orientation paid after completion or not? Any help you can give me would be appreciated, Thanks.

I was with Hirschbach for 5 months and had an absolutely wonderful dispatch team (I say Team because I had two of them). I was a Lease driver first (and there was no push for me to lease), then switched to company after about 2 months. Then one morning I get a call from Doug (jbird353) saying he was now my dispatcher. Doug was doing ok, but since he was new there was still a lot he had to learn...LOL....but then I had to leave the end of July due to physical problems.
BTW, Meltom......that gift card changes from time to time.....in March we got $100 on the card and $100 on our fuel card......later I heard that the $200 was part of the sign-on bonus.Meltom Thanks this. -
That doesnt answer my questions about the orientation though?

Thanks for the info. what are the 2 seperate classes for at orientation? And how long ago did you work for them and how long? Would you say its a good company to work for until my felony comes off my record? (4 months)

I'm still there, they do an awful lot of things right. There is room for improvement. I'm not even sure if you'll get hired with a felony, especially if its recent. More concerning to me would be the question about the drug test. I'd say that I didn't judge you for that statement but that wouldn't be the full truth. I can't think of a reason why you would care what type of pre employment testing they would use, other than you have something to hide. On the otherhand, I don't hire people. So roll the dice, if they take you go for it. You certainly could do worse.
