Hi Air Breeze, first let me explain something to you, I am not an ignorant truck driver, I am an educated lady, I have a degree in Criminal Justice and a BA in Psychology. At this time there are no jobs where I live. So, my last resort was to drive a truck for a couple of years to help my husband out with the bills. I am sorry that you have had bad experiences with other companies. Maybe, its not them but your attitude. I know that my husband and I have spoke to numerous companies before we chose to work for Hirschbach. And just let me clarify something to you, I do NOT work in the office, and I am NOT a recruiter. They have treated my husband and I very well this far, there are things that can be improved on, but they are working hard on those issues. No company out there has spoken the truth, but we are giving Hirschbach a chance. So, I appreciate if you could keep your personal issues to yourself and not relay them to others, such as calling all truck drivers ignorant.

Hi Patty, thank you for your comments. I just dislike when someone bad mouths a company because things did not work out for him/her. I know that everyone has their own opinion about a company that they just left. We just left a company after working with them for two years, but I am not going to bad mouth them, there is no reason for that. A person just needs to move on, and let things go. I do believe that they are trying hard to improve on every aspect of their business.

I'm not far from Hirshbach, about 15 minutes is all.I live in Sioux City,IA.I applied there awhile back but I got fired from a job and couldnt hire me till I think the lady said 6 months. But oh well I wanted local anyway. So now im with k&b transportation.

Sorry to hear that, I hope things are going well with your new job. I started driving a truck because there are no jobs. It seems that everyone is laying off and hiring for lower pay. I don't mind driving a truck, the positive thing that comes out of it is at least I can be with my husband. I would really like to find a job in my profession, working with abuse children. But at least I am working and helping out with the bills.

k&b as a company I like.My boss is one sweet lady but the pay sucks. But at least im making enough to keep on top of my bills so thats the main thing. There is no work tomorrow so i'll be hitting the streets for another local job.I have a few places lined up.Working with abused children is a rewarding job.I use to take care of the mentally challenged.

I wish them well and wish you well. I just don't see them improving. Grojean has a bad track record and bankrupt his last trucking company. That's why I would like to hear your feedback in 3 months and 6 months when you have a better picture. You haven't been there long enough to make a report. -
I see that you have been driving a truck for over 8 years. Has most of that been over the road or local. So, are you going out to find another job on top of the one that you have now, or just looking for one. I wish you best of luck tomorrow.

Hi CondoCruiser, I agree with you, no we haven't been here that long. I really don't know what they were like a few years ago. I truly hope things work out for me and my husband. So far they have treated us very well, however time will tell. We were with another company for two years and they started to treat their o/o not so kindly. But I will not bad mouth them in anyway. We just departed in good terms. Will keep you updated. Thanks for your comments.
