So what you're saying is you should not have integrity as a driver and honor the contract you agreed to uphold. Gotcha.

From their website.
Deadwood, Boondock, Rideandrepair and 5 others Thank this. -
Re-read the original post. It doesn’t refer to the contract being paid. It’s a threat to sue the New Employer for hiring him. Maybe I read it wrong.drvrtech77, Deadwood, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this.

Yes you are reading it wrong. It is saying the driver has failed to complete their contract. Which is why they don't want the other company hiring them.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Agreements work both ways. If I decided they weren’t holding up their side, and I could do better, and still be able to pay them too. I’d have no problem leaving.gentleroger and BennysPennys Thank this.

I just read it again. It’s a threat to Sue the new Employer. They order them to cease and desist immediately or be slapped with a restraining order. Ha ha! That’s a Joke. . Anyone can hire anyone. They have no recourse against the new Employer. The only recourse they have is with the Driver, per Contract. Period. His new Employer can’t be held responsible for any of his debts. That’s not how things work.Tall Mike, drvrtech77, BennysPennys and 4 others Thank this.

I for one after re-reading that letter multiple times with much scrutiny. Have come to the conclusion that said letter was either drafted by a complete imbecile or it is in fact 100% phony.
Tall Mike, omaharj, drvrtech77 and 6 others Thank this. -
Or both....
BennysPennys and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
When I started out. I worked for a Local Company. We did work for others. Companies would Lease a Truck with a Driver. I’d peddle Freight at Different Companies every day. The Company had a clause against them stealing the Driver away, for at least one year, after working for them. Makes perfectly good sense. It’s Legal. I don’t blame them. All Temp services do it. I got a lot of experience in a short time. I stayed a year. I had decided long before not to get rooked into a Slavery Agreement, like the OP. I’d met too many Drivers that had bad experiences with that. I’d pay it, and move on. But if they’re going to try to intimidate Me. They can take Me to Court, and wait for their money. That’s what they would deserve.

No, it is implying that the driver has NOT YET completed the contract.
These type of contracts must have a buyout clause to be enforceable. The driver can leave the company without defaulting on the contract.bumper Jack and Rideandrepair Thank this.
