    Some can be.

Typically no, but what would you have the man do? Drop the trailer and run to the hardware store?

Last time I did that I just coiled the wire, left it at the base of the pole, and waved to the nice lady who watched the whole thing and asked ME if I was alright as I drove away. The utility will come reinstall it soon enough, hopefully HIGHER this time.

I knocked down a bunch of low cables in New Orleans once. I called my dispatch and told them I did it and that I wasn't very ####ing happy with being in that ####hole.

Seeing as how I was not talking about the house being on the "main drag" nor did the op indicate he was on a "main drag", what merit does your gotcha moment have?

Its soo good to know we don't have an sanctimonious Jackwagons here. Who have never done anything wrong or improper.

Ladr, in the last two months I have personally knocked down two cable\phone lines. Because they were too low. I was in those areas to make deliveries. Would you have me pallet jack the load in? To prevent such incidents?
Or just do as I did. I called in the first, and not the second because i didn't know it had been knocked down, until a day later. It stayed on top of my trailer until I took off, I think the back of the trailer hooked on my way out.
But I also can't guarantee that I was the one who knocked it down either, as I was only one of a couple drivers who were going to that resident. He gets auto parts for his race care regularly.

Your attempt to take the moral high-ground seems to be bombing @ladr. Let fools be fools and you worry about what you do. We've all ####ed up a time or 15.... If it's a major deal it always comes around in the end. But this agenda item.... is it really worth the fight you're putting into it?

To me it's like a PitBull going rabid for a single chicken nugget.... I know it isn't worth it; I know he doesn't... so let me reel you back in, man. It isn't worth it. Just scoff, and don't be that guy.

Been with werner for 4 years but this is the first time this has happened before

No tickets no accidents but this is the only thing that has been gnawing on me. Just glad to know that wires have to be at a certain height. This wire was at least 3 feet below regulation. Thanks everyone for your help it's been three days and nada. It is now time to move on from this.
