Did you flee the scene? Or make stew?

Sorry not meaning to make light of the OP. Sorry you had to deal with that, and otherwise would have posted something like Semi Crazy I quoted. That driver knew.

Find it a bit of a stretch to believe he didn't know hit something.
What pass were you on?.....I run in Oregon and Washington exclusively and just wonder where you were that it took so long to be rescued.

    Good post,agree 100%.

PHOTO show car was damaged in the FRONT (WHICH caused it to collapse). SOUNDS like an accident, BUT Not intentional.

ALSO, photo show damage was to right front, which indicates that his happened in a UK type of country where ppl drive on the RIGHT SIDE of the road.

It was not DEMOLISHED on all four sides. I would say that car looks like it took a light hit from a trailer...but if that trailer was really BOOKING, you would have been knocked "unconscious" AND could have sustained serious physical injury. Sounds like you are ok (thank God).

Took one hour....where your legs strapped in? If they were not strapped in....why didn't you exit the back doors or trunk?
IF it was a snow storm, THEN you probably were best to stay in the car.....CORRECT?

Not sure if chains would have helped. He PROBABLY hit the brakes after seeing you coming, and his trailer swung out. Not his fault...that's what happens when you drive on icy snowy roads.

IF HE drove off, THEN YEAH...that was his mistake. My guess is that he panicked. Driving a truck is NOT EASY. ESPECIALLY in those conditions.

I thought they drove on the left in the UK, we drive on the right in Oregon and Washington.:biggrin_2556:
Could have happened in a passing lane area though.
