First of all, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
I've been reading these forums for a while and officially decided a month or so ago that I am going forward with becoming a truck driver after I lose some weight. Been pretty excited, actually. Well, anyway, today a woman in an SUV abruptly switched over to my lane, hit my car and slammed my car up against a telephone pole. She initially came to talk to me, but quickly after got back in her SUV and took off. Filed a police report and everything, but her plate numbers that I thought I accurately copied came ba k with no match, so this is probably going to fall back on my insurance.
Anyway, sorry this post is a bit too detailed, but long story short: does this accident, even though not my fault, destroy my plans of truck driving?

No, won't prevent you from becoming a truck driver; you're OK.
Put your location on your profile. -
shouldn't. i got hit by some moron a few months before I started driving.
-
This was all your fault and you're lying and you'll never drive a truck. EVER!!!!!!!
lol. As long as you made a police report and its stated that you're not in the wrong, you're golden. Even if it comes back on you, if this is all you've got, you're still fine. Good luck to you. -
No fault collisions are not held against your driving record.

The good thing is that you swapped paint. If she had a local tag and was a commuter, you will see her again.

Thank you so much for all your replies! I really appreciate it. Very glad to hear this isn't going to be a problem

My BIL was slammed by a stolen car. It spun him around a couple times on the expressway. She got out of the car, asked if he was OK while she was on the phone. Then got back in the stolen car and took off.
New rule for accidents: after checking that no one is hurt. Take picture of driver and their plate. You might have to be sneaky to get the driver pic.
