It depends on where you are located. Do you have your CDL? If not, are they sending you to school?

I'm running regional starting next week, my training has been out of the Target DC in Central Ohio. I'm not one for covering the same path and bumping multiple docks every other day. From what I have been able to gather from what I have been told in recruiting and orientation and comparing it to what new guys can expect on the dedicated accounts - it's a wash in terms of pay. Regional guys are open for bonuses while the dedicated accounts get a fixed rate and less miles.

I used Hogan and their relationship with a school in Missouri to get my CDL, so I am somewhat committed to them. In terms of pay they aren't the worst of the entry-level mini-megas to go with, but there are also better choices out there if you aren't in their pocket for that schooling. The one thing I will say that at school, in orientation, and in training I have met both drivers and support personnel that have come BACK to Hogan. The equipment is newer and there is a focus on driver satisfaction beyond the weekly paycheck.

    Hey there Buckeyekev,
Hope things are going well for you at Hogan.
I left them in late September, but now I find myself thinking about going back to them...Maybe. I just found the miles to be low and that is why they started me out at 42cpm. They knew it would be low miles and a lot of sitting for which you don't get paid!
Maybe I can get them to take me serious this time and let me RUN!!! No sitting at truck stops when I have Time on my 11 and 14 clocks. That elog babysits me enough without the company telling me I need to stop and take a break!! I know when I need to sleep. If I have time on My clock and I am unloaded at one stop...I am getting my ### back on the Road heading in the direction of the next stop.
Anyway, I hope things are well with you.

Hogan is a joke. There is SO much money to be made elsewhere in the trucking industry. Yes I've worked for them. Yes, I did leave them.

    DTP Thanks this.
