Cavalier. I had cousins in Drayton, and I still have a nephew and a cousin in Fargo.

 

Did you know any hornbakers from cavalier ? That whole region was a cool place to live but like you said economic opportunities there were slim in the 80s and why I left.
My pals that worked at steiger were layed off as much as they worked and the only way to make decent money trucking consistently was stay out a month or more .

 

If my ancient memory serves me correctly I went to school with a Dennis Hornbaker. I think he had a sister named Twyla or something like that. Only work when I was a kid was either mowing lawns or going out to hoe sugarbeets with the migrants. The only real industry was the MCI bus plant in Pembina.

Any of this sound familiar? Need I go on? Was that embellished? Or not?

 

Weeeeellllll there might have been a little embellishment on a few of the details its HAS been many years between then and now. I will tell you this; I like anchovies on a pizza. Nobody can argue with me on that fact. Also I love freshly made lefse. Try and fight me on that fact
