Rebuilt this thing at 500,000. Have had to adjust to tightest setting immediately and still slack that whams when starting and stopping. Is there any other adjustment other than the pin with 3 notches on it?

Nope........... garbage.
spsauerland, insanityeight and Navtech Thank this. -
That is so true I’ve had to adjust them to the last notch with less than 100k miles. I hate Holland 5th wheels, it would be nice if they gave you more adjustments it seems like they would be able to have room thereinsanityeight and Goodysnap Thank this.

I put new jaw kit in one and even with new jaws it was on the tightest notch and was still sloppy. Dont even mess around anymore. New plate done.insanityeight Thanks this.

How about for a Fontaine fifth wheel?
Is it worth it to rebuild them? -
The ASF/Simplex style Holland is garbage. Up to 1/8 slop is fine according to manual. Holland FW35 with adjustment nut in front is much nicer.

4 out of 5 I've owned have had them. I am extremely happy them. Unexpected bonus? Jerks can't reach in a pull your fifth wheel. Even using an unhooker it can't be done on the sly.

Yes, at the dealership I work at the sales department will not sell a new truck spec’d With a holland 5th wheel any more. Fontaine’s are exponentially a better product, more adjustable and serviceable.Dino soar Thanks this.
