I work predominantly in the "all trucks are evil. Get out of here trucker scum." Northeast.

I've been to/through Nashville about 5-6 times tops in all my years of driving. Most times I never plan on there being a truckstop near a downtown metropolis (or one you'd be comfortable staying at.) let alone one within walking distance of the tourist district.

This describes Nashville to a fault. Lately for me I been finding that if I can help it (if I'm traveling east or west I avoid Nashville by taking I-840(formerly TN Route 840). It's a little longer but you're less likely to get in an accident. Of course heading north or south you're basically screwed. Lol

Go out the back lot, head toward the stadium, walk across the second bridge
    Party central
    I've done it often
Last year I did it for new year's Eve
    Best time ever!

I use to spend a many weekend there in the mid 80's, party central, things going on that would never be tolerated in today's enlightened society. Easy walking to downtown, spend some time at pawn shops, music stores and bars.

    Place is dead tonight.
All the reserved spaces with nobody parked in them.
    Funny as hell.
    Gotta love TA's business model.

See for me it was the opposite. I practically never ran out of hours at the mega I started with. I didn't start "always" running out of hours until I came to a small company.

I've been there a couple of times. Never liked. It's been well over ten years since I've been there.

The last time I was there,it had rained the day before. I saw a lot lizard wearing a dress. She got out of a truck and walked up to a puddle in the lot. She squatted down over the puddle, took out a rag and commenced to was her lady do dad.
