Has anyone had issues with having the Temp CDL (not the permit) that you get while at school transferred or accepted once back in your home state ???
While talking with the DMV rep earlier today she stated that WV does not accept out of state Temp CDL License and that I will need an actual state issued perm CDL and both my med card and long form along with all the new fed required documents. She also says it is against WV State Law to hold a WV license and an out of state CDL permit or actual license which could lead to my WV license being suspended.
Anyone have any input ? The recruiter says he is unaware of anything about WV - I do not want to end up with issues once I leave for training.

You're not going to have any problems. Your CDL permit will be transferred to Missouri, at the same time, your WV drivers license for 4-wheelers will still be active. Once you get done with CDL instruction, you'll get a MO CDL... when you have the permanent license, you and your trainer will head back to WV and get it transferred over. It's not a big deal, and it gets done hundreds of times every year.
TNMT and The-Big-Guy Thank this. -
The paper copy (your temporary) is just that, a temporary. It won't cut it to make changes at W.V. DMV office. You will need the official hard copy to make changes.

That's what I am looking for - a lot of people are posting that they r only getting the paper copy not a hard copy once out of school and their DMV is not accepting. Is this a school issue ?
