Ok 2015 international lease truck through ryder with the apu and inverter included.. thinking about running a home sub woofer in the truck powering it with the stock inverter. Im sure it has enough power to run an amplifier that would power the sub with no problem as it has no problems with a microwave which requires a large amount of juice. just thinking it would be easier to plug a self powered home sub into the inverter then it would be to install a car audio amp with all the wiring.. not sure about the sound though.. i guess that's my main question what will it sound like. im assuming it will sound fine if not fantastic considering it's designed for a larger room so putting it into a smaller room will not limit it like putting a speaker in a bigger room meant for a smaller room. any truck driver audio files out there? lol..

Hmmmmm, I wouldn’t know, I’m runny 2 Memphis amplifiers. 1 for my subs and other for components. Concert hall in my truck every day. Let us know how it sounds.

Given this much thought myself. Downside is the constant vibrations in the cab; how do you address that without hurting the sound quality in certain cases. Looked at the little Bose 123 system the sub/processor case seems to be stout enough. love to hear what others have done that are comany drivers and can't get deep into audio systems.

I just got a 8" bazooka, which gets power from radio wire. Good headunit, good speakers and the sound is very acceptable

The easiest, most simplified way to add a subwoofer is to probably add a Preamp Subwoofer...something that has an amp built into already. I used a Preamp Sub years ago in a daycab. Setup was extremely easy...hooked up the speaker wire into the sub and bought a 12v plug in adapter and hooked it right into the 12v cig lighter and...voila...instant bass....
