How often are you O/Os home? Every weekend? Thru the week? I'm sure it makes a difference where you live (near high freight cities). I was wondering what miles and schedules you all try to run in a average week. I know everyone is different and anything is possible but I was want to know what each individual does...

Very good question, I am also curious to hear the different responses.

I usually make 1 trip a week to LA from Phoenix, if there is too much, then I have to make 2 trips. So I'm away from home 1 night a week, sometimes 2, and home every weekend.
Last year I did 61 trips to LA & 1 trip to Albuquerque. That was approx. 66,000 miles last year.villageidiot Thanks this. -
I'd say you would have to get out of the "miles " mentality coming from a company driver to owner op.
Pedigreed Bulldog Thanks this. -
I live in Atlanta, and I try to be home every weekend.
I also try to bring home every weekend all the O/Os that are working with me. -
I run Pittsburgh Pa area to Omaha Ne area. 2 round trips one week and then 1 round trip the next. I'm home 3-4 days every 2 weeks. Wife tags along when she wants, it works well for us

My current deal has me running out of NW Kansas. 3-5000 miles a week when I'm working and usually weekends off. Then I'm also off 4-5 days a month to spend time with my fiancé who isn't down there with me. For the most part it's a temporary deal to chase money while it's there and get ahead on stuff.

I stay out for a few months with a few 2 day stops each month at the house. I usually take three, one month+(off peak freight times), blocks of time off for some family/me time during the year. Been doing it that way for over 10 years.

When you are debt free home time is whenever you want. My butte was built to catch ladies' eyes not stuff a driver's seat!
