Does it matter where you take your home time at?
I would think a single driver with no home/apartment that basically lives out of the truck wouldn't mind taking time off in different states from time to time as opposed to going back to their home state and crashing on a friends couch or getting a motel..
Just curious if companies make you come back to the state/address that you give them when you get hired or what the policy is..

Generally speaking doesn't matter. I've taken my downtime (commonly referred to as 34 resets) all over the country. Best thing is to make sure wherever you decide to take the resets that you can get a load going out after you're done with the time off. Otherwise best of luck going forward!

You will be in the system with your home noted as your DL address. Just be sure to tell dispatch when you ask for home time what city you want home time in.
