The place where I keep my truck. One of the nicer older trucks, a Pete 579, not a mark on it, is sitting in the wreck pile.
Looks like it got hit from three sides. Both fuel tanks are smashed, I mean SMASHED, varying degrees of body damage, hood and grille intact, cab intact, all glass and mirrors intact, front bumper and steering axle WHACKED.
So I've no clue what happened there.tucker and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
Saw a PRIME with what was a brand new 579, about a 100 feet off into the desert on 40 in the communist state today. They were salvaging the cargo and it was down to one lane due to loading.
That could be what happened to that other 579.
Bad day for Paccars. -
The hoods all have the drivers sitting 2 inches off the floorboard so the driver is barely peering over the dash so I voted for slope due to infinitely better visibility.
