How many miles are you guys getting out of a set of new, virgin tires?
Do you have a preferred brand, best price, longest wear?

    TIA

Not a hopper but an end dump. Try iron man i480s. Good all arounder for the price. Usually get between 40 and 80k from a set depending on how much scrap and offroad ive been doing (fun fact razor sharp metal and/or rough gravel roads and tires dont mix) there are better quality tires and cheaper ones but my experince is the I-480s offer a good mix of price, durability and reliability.

My hopper I have Double Coins on but I can't tell ya how many miles I don't keep track and I only pull it seasonal .. they will probably dry rot before they wear out .. but they seem to wear well and hold up well on gravel roads

The new ones arent that great. Friend just got a set and they came apart on him after 14k. Double coins have bad QC and their either really good or really bad. Just depends on where they came from.

Lol i know that feeling. I cheated with mine a bit though. Put the sidewall between the bottom of the frame and the bottle jack with a 2x4 with a hole drilled for the top of the bottle and got the tire squished a bit then hit with a hammer. Bead would pop out on the 2nd or 3rd hit usually if the jack didnt do it for you. then you could work the bar around the rim and get the stupid thing off.

I had to fix 1 before I started using this trailer a couple weeks ago I had 2 tire irons in and had to have somebody beat the tire iron around with a 10lb hammer to get the bead over the rims ...
