No independent's have their own numbers pull for whomever they choose. The trucks leased on to bigger outfits usually take it on the chin. Not always but usually. Also hopper freight is usually a it pays this take it or leave it deal. No negotiations, rejected loads for any reason can help or hurt your week. Most of the time hurt, you have to deal with taking it elsewhere but at their rate. For instance, I loaded chicken meal in pocahontas Arkansas with a Rolla Missouri unload. It was rejected for being to rancid. So the company that produced it said take it to KC. When you add the agreed upon Rolla rate and the we have you by the balls rate together you come up with a regular pocahontas to KC rate. Only Rolla is well over 125 miles outta route. Lost my planned reload but I needed my trailer empty so I could move on. I'm not telling you to get your own numbers by any means just putting more info out to be thought about

Seems like if you have your own truck your a step or two ahead of the company driver but that's not always the case from what I can tell (still on slippery ground).
It seems the nice thing about having your own authority is that you can haul for whoever you want. Meaning your not stuck with whatever freight the company your leased onto has. Seems like theirs much more freedom that route even though there's much more responsibility. But if your into freedom and your also OK with the extra responsibility meaning you can handle the logistics of that route then it's a good deal for you. obviously that's not always the case as most are not good with the business aspects of running your own authority. and of course the further you go the deeper the but pain it can possible be and the more money you can possible make.. -
I hardly ever see vibrators around here. Would be handy for some products.

i can't think of anyone i know at the moment with any trucks open at the moment. you could check bismanonline or some of the larger hopper outfits in the state. hopper isn't hard to get the hang of.

Hey fellas I live down here in Florida and obviously we're not a grain state but would any of you guys happen to know any companies running hopper bottoms in the southeast. I see quite a few hopper bottoms down here but no companies within the state that I'm aware of.
