Yes, I can find drivers to work cheap but those drivers will not or they don't know how to get 5 MPG let alone 7 and my beer money will have to go in the repair and cleaning fund after he leaves my truck sitting somewhere. Then they next guy comes along and it starts all over.

It sure went dead on Bulkloads. I use to check it out everyday but know maybe look once every week or two. The for sale page is mostly trailer dealers nothing decent or a bargain.

I had one of those days today. Went to elevator at eight and didn't leave with my load till 9:30. I was the first one in line. Got to ethanol plant had to wait for them to take a bin measurement, long as it took must have used rulers. Basically I should have stayed in bed today.

Funny you say that, if I'm running on Christmas Eve, which seems to be more often than not, I'll usually wear my Santa hat all day long. You'd be surprised at the big burly guys that get a big kick out of it :biggrin_2559:

The girls at the feed mills like it too :biggrin_25522:

This marks the 3rd week now that Horizon has been jacking everybody around with their stupid crane. It looks like if the wind is blowing more than half a mile per hour they cancel the crane work and postpone it til the next day.

WH, still a lot of trucks in your neighborhood or have they left to go do other stuff? Down here several have sold their hoppers or have them for sale and are pulling belly dumps. I was the first local grain hauler to jump and haul oil field rock and several local guys have followed since. I am starting to see some Kansas trucks down at the rock quarry, some with harvesting & trucking names on the door. I figured it wouldn't take long since their is a lot of drilling taking place and a lot more in the works in south central Kansas.

Big John, still seems like there are plenty of trucks. The big boys won't be hauling any rocks. Ckt, Sun Valley and E&J have around twenty trucks each so I don't think we will lack for trucks.

Today I seen two Hiermann Trucking( not sure of spelling) from Conway Springs, KS and one JnB truck from Kingman, KS pulling belly dumps hauling rock. plus several others from Kansas today. Never really seen any Kansas trucks down here until today and they swarmed the quarry, then they ran out of rock.
