I got my "Chauffeurs" in 1950 and grandfathered into CDL by a written airbrake test when it came in.
Only driving test was daddy setting me in the seat, pointing out the clutch and brake pedal on the farm tractor. Took it from there.booley, mustang190, 201 and 2 others Thank this. -
And it's at least 1 trip out of 3 that the 4 wheelers seem insistent on slowing you down before they manage to find the accelerator! -
If a instructor sits and gives me nothing then he or she is not a instructor to me. I need a constant flow of information, how I think is working the problem in my mind quickly and deciding whats best if I knew a little bit before getting into trouble.
Even then I still had to go and "Run downhill and give her hell" to see for myself what is possible in case there is a day that the truck did get away from me. Just like taking the bobtail onto a 2 acre ice lot and skating circles and figure 8s in drifting long before it was popular with this young generation and their little cars. So that when it's ice in Wyoming and shes dancing, Im all over it. That information and muscle memory came in very handy without a thought needed when my spouse had that jackknife in ice west of Knoxville winter of 2000 and 2001 losing most of our 8 truck convoy into the median upgrade.
It's really good to read your experiences and learn about our differences if any. If you did well, then I celebrate your success in mountain work.
There is no reason this kid could not have been trained in mountain work with proper english comprehension and understanding that ramps etc are built just for him when the day came that he had a real need of it. But he did not use anything and killed people. I would have rather he swerved RIGHT and run off into a few buildings or a bridge pillar etc than people. -

It's still murder, but in a defined way to divide the different kinds of murder or loss of life due to someone's accident, neglect or willful lifetaking, or even worse preplanned killing etc, those are Capital Murder Cases. But since Colorado does not have the death penalty the most possible is 1st degree.
On a shelf is a set of papers I was given ranging crimes from simple battery (Slapping a woman for example... or pulling hair (Assault) etc. All the way to Capital Murder. Each ladder step shows what is possible within Arkansas Law in Concealed Carry under License. That does not make me a lawyer, but it is alot easier to define a particular crime and possibly understand better what your options are against the bad guys. For example if someone came onto your property throwing burning ####tails against your house while carrying a shotgun going for the invasion of your home.. well. You have absolute and every right to take him out offensively which is only one of two specific acts covered by our law. The problem is on you to prove it in court.
It's just a example.Lepton1 Thanks this.
