The ag exemption is for hauling you own horses. The moment you charge to move a horse you stop being an ag exempted Pierson and become a full fledge tucking company with all the requirements, including cargo insurance.

I would have a lawyer, and I mean a good trucking lawyer go over any contract that you have where you are supposedly not liable for cargo. I dealt with horse people for years, and there is a reason commerial horse hauling outfits charge the kind of money they do, it takes a lot of insurance, some horses are worth a fortune, all horses magically become worth a fortune if hurt., then god forbid something happens to someones pet.

I appreciate your reply thats what i will do as well is get with a lawyer and make sure i have my ### covered. yes about how much commercial horse haulers charge is because insurance isnt not not cheap.

Check out the equine thread, it appears you may be right and I am wrong, I would still have a lawyer check it over.
It cost a little more, but I always kept a general insurance policy too, when I was running several trucks, It turned out that I actually used it and was glad I had it when I need a lawyer, my insurance paid for it.tech2019 Thanks this. -
