Hey guys I'm a rookie driver with 7 months of experience. I work for a major carrier and much to my dismay I already have a few HOS LOG VIOLATIONS. Honestly I didn't know how much of a big deal they were until now that I began researching more about it. You know I've only received one where it was my fault. The other times they weren't my fault. I know that doesnt matter technically, but I am not a careless driver. I'm still learning everyday.

My question is how will these affect me and my future? I have no accidents, no tickets or anything. Just a few HOS violations. I haven't heard anything back from my work regarding them and I'm still currently employed.

Will I get fired? I've been stressing a lot about this, please help with any info. I've tried researching on Google but I am not getting a lot of info as to what happens.

    Thanks!

Do you mean you got a ticket at the coop, or you got dinged by your company's safety department?

I haven't received a ticket and I haven't heard anything from safety regarding the HOS
violations I have received on the Qualcomm for going over either my 11 hour or 14 hour clocks.

    They were all your fault.
    It's always your fault.

Oh and nobody really cares unless it happens all the time.

    Unless you get inspected.

Well, learn from your mistake and don't do it anymore.

If the violation is already off your 7 or 8 day recap you should be good to go at the coops.

If safety department didn't say anything yet, you're probably fine.

How do you get inspected? By getting pulled over?
