0700 drop off - 1630 pickup - 0130 dropoff
It's an 18.5 hour window with no time for a 7hr sleeper berth. My question is, how can this be done legally?

Dropoff to pickup is 9.5 hours. Unless you need to do over 2.5 hours of driving between the two it should be enough for 7 hours of sleeper. Theoretically if everything works perfectly and the split gives you the hours needed to deliver.
If not, I'd tell my dispatcher it was impossible to make the pickup on time and/or impossible to deliver on time due to hours. They might still have you do the load, but they can't (or shouldn't) hold you accountable if you communicate the issue.tscottme Thanks this. -

So you are saying that you cant unload, drive 1 hr, load, then drive 3 hours to arrive for second unload drop in 18 hours????
4 hours of drive time in total... Even if the first 2 places take 7 hours each to unload/load you should be golden.
Easy peasy... Check in at reciever, go to sleeper berth, drive 1 hr, check in at shipper, go to sleeper berth, once loaded creep to a parking place out of the way at shipper to finish split berth, drive to reciever.Last edited: Dec 6, 2022

The miracle would be that the receiver took 7 hours to unload once you bumped the dock..or they had a staging lot you could creep to without tripping your log.
Today I drove from South Atlanta to somewhere Kentucky in the rain and fog to deliver..Then a 2 hour drive to Walton, Ky where I’m at now still waiting to be loaded. I’m going on my 18th hour of my shift.. and I’m still 100% legal.
Once I’m loaded I will creep about 150 feet and finish my 10. Few hours pillow time and I’ll be rolling to York, PA for a delivery tomorrow night.
Not really the way I like to run but it was 100% doable because I knew I could get my 10 completed at my pick.
If you haven’t been to your first stop yet read the reviews on the place and see what everyone is saying. Usually someone will say something in regards parking.Boondock Thanks this. -

One would be, why would I work those crazy hours?
Another would be, where would I find parking after that delivery after that long of a day - at that time of night?
And what if you do pull it off?
What will your company expect for your next loads? More splits with 8 hours off and getting back on the road until you kill yourself (possibly others on the road) with fatigue?
Do yourself a favor.
