De rated trailer is the Key and the right truck. Dodge no go. I have a 50ft Kaufman rated at 14.5k and my 2008 GMC Dually Duramax rated at 11.4k. So Total of 25.9k. Perfect Cheater combo no CDL needed. Since over 10k though still need log books, scales, Dot inspections and follow all the normal rules. If you are in the right area you can do ok with a 3 car. Have had DOT in TX and WA check me both do the ratings from trailer and door tag and added them up to decide if you need a CDL. Most Dodge Duallys are rated for 13k and the newer LML Duramaxes are also over 13k.

Yup it's a cheater setup alright, you are cheating yourself by running it!

Dodge a no go huh? Funny thing mine gave me 200k trouble free miles at over 10mpg pulling an infinity gn400

Not sure what you mean? Dodge no go becasue of weight rating and needing a CDL to drive it. I do like my Duramax and have nothing against Cummins. Just saying the extra 1000 to 1500lbs rating is a deal breaker vs needing your CDL or not.

I know of several people who ran Dodge under 26k(none of whom are in business today). I think you are a bit confused on how this works.

I'd advise against it. Are you just getting started in the business?

yeah. dont have enough cash to fill semi loads. and trying to find room on other loads isnt working. have been driving them down to Utah and flying home.
only able to send 3 a week so found a 3 car hauler i might purchase.
Already had the truck so was hoping it would work legally until i can afford a dully.

Go back to 3rd grade English class. Sell the Ford 3500 it is a one off model and buy a parking lot sweeper. I heard there is real good money doing that too. There is no money in cars anymore parking lot sweeping is where it is at now.
