Has the finance company paid the dealer yet? If no money has changed hands you might not have a contract.

They claim they did already. That's why they told me I would have to work directly with the dealer/store because they sent the check to them already. They also said that I wouldn't receive a bill until 15 days/2 weeks after I picked up the trailer which I haven't yet.

Not to sound too mean or anything, but...

Take this as a lesson. The lesson being that running a business is, well running a business. Read every contract you sign. If you don't understand the contract, pay a lawyer to interpret for you.
As for the fee, well you did agree to it. Well, if it's in the contract you signed you did. If you don't want to pay it, it's your credit hit. That may or may not cost you more in the long run if you plan on using brokers that run credit checks.

Yes, you are definitely correct. I knew better but didn't want the finance opportunity to pass esp since I've been trying to get everything done and mostly financing things before it started to cause my credit to dip esp having to finance the truck and trailer. Major lesson learned and appreciate the real feedback because it's no time to pacify the truth or facts. I'm just at this crossroads of not really knowing if the work is out there for me to make this whole thing work, esp. the closer I get to pulling the trigger on everything. Also, don't want my family to worry about me out on the road with a One truck operations. It's scary but it is real and somewhat intimidating to be honest.

To me it simply sounds like you are having pre-wedding jitters.
If it looked good 2 weeks ago, it will still be good. I'll be honest in stating running hotshot is risky. But it's a new business risky that the worst case is you loose money. You get a credit hit, maybe loose that new trailer and truck. As long as the staples and housing is paid for first, you can recover from just about everything else.
Keep your eye on the ball and keep in mind that slowdowns happen. Take care of family, then the business and all will be ok.
And as Six likes to say "Luck in battle"

Now that's some really good advice and it's always good to have people to help you deal with all the possibilities even the realities of success and failure. We sometimes want all the answers upfront, but as I've learned nothing beats a failure except a "Try". I have a lot on the line, but that's apart of having a business mentality, nerves are apart of the process. Thanks for the feedback....

This might be worth 30 minutes of time with an attorney. It is the only way you will get a true legal answer. Attorney for 250.00 might be able to negotiate a settlement for half the cost.

Dude call the states Ag office and find out how to file a claim of fraud against the company selling you the trailer, you didn't take possession of it, it doesn't matter what the finance company did, that's their problem, it is not in your possession and you refused to take possession so there is no final sale.

Also never ever ever let a finance company ever send a check to the company you are dealing with, always demand they cut you a check and you endorse it to the company.

This stinks, it doesn't matter what the contract says, there is no sale until you complete the transaction and that means there has to be an exchange, no exchange no completion of the transaction.

You are definitely right on that because I'd rather pay the 250.00 and even half the cost than the 4200 anyday. Thanks

Now that's some real good advice. I'm sure I have to have some legal grounds with this. I know they want something for their time and energy which was probably less than a days work with the finance and me selecting the trailer, but 4,000 seems a bit ridiculous at all phases of business and consumer practice. I just needed additional feedback to help me look at this in a bigger picture. Thanks
