    if you ever think of joining the houg team owner operators beware. They are located in the denver colorado area. Houg and going broke go hand in hand. You will find they constantly take more than they promise to give. They say they pay fuel surcharge by doe national average and the fact is they are always 12 to 20 cents less. Their new. Computer system will find ways for you not to get a check at all claiming they're working the bugs out and you don't get paid for three weeks. When you fill their reefer they pay the fuel and stick you with the fee. They LIE constantly and YOU LOSE

    Thanks for the post Red. I thought maybe we were the only ones - which is what Houg leads you to believe. This is our last week driving for them due to the same pay issues and "bugs in the new software system". We consistently average 3700 miles per week, and our last 2 paychecks were for less than $400 due to how they are taking the fuel out and the cut-off date. They used to be driver friendly, and I'm not sure what is going on there, but don't expect any favors, support or financial gain from Houg.
